Arizona Campgrounds

The 48th State in the Union, Arizona is widely known for the desert climate and the Grand Canyon. Temperatures in summer routinely hit triple digits so its important to be prepared know the area when camping in Arizona. Always bring plenty of water when camping in the desert and be prepared for some desert winds at night. The fall and spring are excellent for camping with desert flowers blooming throughout March and April.

Despite being known for its desert landscapes Arizona also has several forests cover 27% of the state, including the largest Ponderosa Pine forest. But the most popular attraction, and one of the first National Parks, the Grand Canyon attracts over 5 million visitors a year. Carved out of the desert floor by the Colorado river, this is a favorite National Park for Campers, Rafters and Climbers.
